Hello,

Our names are Susan and Bob and we’re dinosaurs from the ancient geological epoch called the Before Phones. It was a time of great phonelessness.

We know what you’re thinking: How did we survive (even thrive) without a phone? Was that even possible?

Land Before Phones

Granted it was a bizarre time. There were only three channels on TV (you’re kidding), reading and writing were limited to paper (how primitive), people preferred going outside to being stuck indoors (impossible), and communicating usually meant being there in person, face to face (what!?).

But to answer the question:

Yes, it was (and still is) possible.

Virtues of Phonelessness

Our Goal

Here at Before Phones “Where the Dinosaurs Roam” our goal is to journey back in time (1) to uncover clues about the cryptic Before Phones (BP) epoch, (2) to better understand culture and trends in the Post Phone (AP) world, and (3) to rediscover the many virtues of phonelessness. Fundamental research questions include:

  • How did people survive before phones,
  • Are smart phones a fad destined to fail, and
  • What’s trending in the Before Phones Movement (#BPM)?

Before Phones Movement (BPM)

Our innovative strategy hinges on a counterintuitive, yet promising, approach of using modern-day phones as a gateway for exploring the Great Phonelessness.

Warning

Legal Warning: Our deep dive into phonelessness is not for the faint of heart, nor without its perils. A growing-list of supporters and adversaries are drawing their lines in the sand on where the movement starts and stops.

Look no further than the Boogie Phone in your hand masquerading not only as your best friend — Let’s face it: he/she/it maybe already is (or may soon become) your only friend.

And let’s not forget the always questionable (and sometimes toxic) feeding frenzy of social media, news programs, polarizing politics, misinformation, and digital detritus that Boogie serves up.
